I do feel that there is a significant decrease in healing time because of the wraps since the FIR reduce swelling and increase blood flow. I also believe that because the hoof pads have an antibacterial/antifungal property to them that they would benefit horses that are dealing with thrush that have to wear boots. There was absolutely no smell to the pads when I took the boots off Purdy. Normally the hoof will have an odor to it when you use boots with pads in them because of the moist environment, but these pads are different. They are also more dense and don't compress down to flat pancakes after one day of use.
